One of a Kind Setup – Spring 2016

<<<< click title for video

Well another amazing One of a Kind Show has been and gone and once again I filmed the whole setup as it is one of my biggest setups I do each year. I also filmed the tear down. It took me 17 hours to setup (with a few breaks in the middle) and only 3 hours to take it all down and hurry off to my flight home.

Hope you enjoy the video and I’ll be seeing you again at Christmas Toronto.

Please keep an eye out for my online shop and throw your support that way. All the links to my social media are below as well, so make sure to keep in touch. I love to hear from you!

Exchanges

As you all know no matter how hard you try there is always the dreaded exchange after you tried so hard to get the right size for that perfect gift. Don’t worry we’ve got you covered. All purchases made after October 23rd, 2015 can be exchanged up until January 8th, 2016. All you have to do is send us a quick email and we will let you know what to do. We can arrange for the exchange at one of the local markets or send instructions for how to do it through the mail … so easy.

Please note if we do not receive an email prior to January 8th sadly we will not be able to honour all items to be exchanged. We switch over our line at the beginning of the year and many of the designs might be sold out or no longer offered. We are also closing down our studio on January 8th for our big move, so to avoid disappointment make sure to send us that email within the 14 days after Christmas Day. Check out our exchange page or email us (whiteout workshop(at)hotmail(dot)com.) if you have any questions.

Hope you all love your new gifts and if it is the wrong size lets get you the right one so you can start loving your gifts and wearing them!!!!

My OOAK Finds

Spring is here and even though it was a few weeks ago that I was in Toronto for the One of a Kind Show here are my awesome finds from the show. Once I put them all together it seems I was really feeling the spring colours this time around. I’m totally in love with all of these finds!

Stoneware Vase / Porcelain Buttons | Eikcam Handmade Dress Ceramics
I am really excited about this little jug that will now live in my beautiful new home. If you didn’t have a chance to stop by her booth make sure to find her again as it was setup gorgeous and I could have literally bought one of everything. Just gorgeous.

Shoulder Bag / Fabric Buttons | Bookhou
I have been admiring her work for so long now both through her awesome Instagram account (hit up my account for the link) and I’ve been wanting to visit her store as well. Just bursting with talent after years of creating and perfecting her craft.

Naturally Hand Dyed Scarf | Hatchet Made
This scarf is beautiful and wears nice and light. I love that it is all dyed naturally and the nice soft brown will basically match everything in my closet.

Soap Bars | The Blue House
Well besides this soap looking like you’d like to eat it … least it did for me … it has the most refreshing scent as well. It was made for a contest they have every year at the show and this year the theme was water. I think she nailed it and I bought the soap right off the display at the end.

Ogopogo Mug | Créations Li
I own many pieces from vases to mugs, but the second I saw these ones being made I had to snatch them up. Seriously I get to rescue the little lock ness … or as I refer to it as the Ogopogo because I am Canadian … every morning while eating my cereal. It looks pretty fun in a frothy drink as well peaking out while you sip away. So much fun!

Cards | The Silk Pulp
My awesome booth neighbour for the show and crazy cutting talent. Each of her designs is hand cut for the original pieces. Talk about the time it takes to create, but boy is it worth it to see. Since I have a love for cards it only seemed natural to scoop some up.

Rabbit Artwork | Blossom & SweetPea Critter Co
To anyone who knows me and has stepped in my booth at any show you’ve likely seem my rabbits that are hanging out on display. I just had to grab another piece of artwork for my home and this was perfect.

Be sure to check out my posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as it has links to the social media sites on each post so you can find them and grab awesome stuff for yourself. And most of all don’t forget to always get out and support your local artists. There is so much talent out there.

OOAK VIDEO Spring 2015!

<<<< click title for video

As many of you know I take off to the One of a Kind Show twice a year in Toronto and although I tell everyone it is a crazy big show I wanted to make a video to show you. My booth setup is like none of the other shows I do all year. It takes me 2 full days to get it all put together, but I absolutely love doing it.

I’ll be posting my favourite finds from the show in the next few days as well. Hope to see you all again soon Toronto and if you haven’t stopped by be sure to come find me at Christmas time when I do it all over again.

It is also my first attempt at making a video … so I hope you like it!

Market Collective!

This past weekend was the amazing Market Collective and what a weekend it was. So much talent is always packed under one roof and this time it was filled with TONS of delicious food, which you had to know made me happy.

The vibe at the show this weekend was like nothing else and I think everyone having a few months off to recharge made all the difference. Everyone was relaxed and just having a great time, happy to hang out and take it all in. Thank you as always for putting on an amazing show!

Of course like any show I can’t resist buying up some local good for myself and here is what I scooped up. Be sure to head over to their sites and check them out and the next time you see them say hi and maybe pick something up for yourself.

Dress | Lunss
This is about as comfortable as you can get. It is actually made from the same fabric as our leggings, dresses and scarves, just in fleece form. I’ve had it on since I’ve come home from the show and am in LOVE with it!

Socks | Friday Sock Co.
Not only do I love a fun pair of socks, but the fact they are high socks makes them perfect for my daily hikes with Baron and keeping my feet happy. Happy feet are important. Plus they were only $10. How do you go wrong?

Necklace | BlushCheek
Such a simple and perfect necklace for myself. I don’t wear much jewelry, but I can promise this one will be in high rotation with my daily outfits … once I take off the sweater of course.

Mountain Shelf | Needle & Pine
I don’t think much needs to be said here. Build from old recycled barn wood it is perfect and totally up my alley. I already have about 10 different spots I want to put it up in my home. (mini plant bottles by PLANT)

Tote | Market Collective
Every show they have new totes and being you can grab them when you pay to get in, why not. I have bought one at every show and have quite a collection that is growing. Make sure to pick it up so you can put all your unique finds inside to take home.

Market Collective is having their next show May 1 + 2 + 3 with a whole new lineup of artists. You can find the list here. If you have a chance and are in Calgary you should check it out.

I’ll leave you with a cute photo of Baron helping with the photo shoot … so bossy telling me that his best friend (his blue dog) needed to be in the photo and rearranging things.
